Dr. Showalter completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, graduating in 1988. He went on to complete a five-year orthopaedic residency at the University of Utah in 1993. Most recently, he has completed fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics with the guidance of Dr. Raymond Morrissy in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Showalter is fellowship trained in all facets of children's orthopaedics, including trauma, spine, neuromuscular and developmental disorders, and is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
