I have practiced Rheumatology in the Treasure Valley since 1993. Prior to joining
Intermountain Orthopaedics, my practice was located in Nampa, where I served as the
Director of the Idaho Osteoporosis Center.
After receiving a medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, I
completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences
Center in Denver. Because of a strong interest in immunology and musculoskeletal medicine,
I pursued a fellowship in Rheumatology, also at the University of Colorado. Currently I am
Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and am a Fellow in the
prestigious American College of Rheumatology.

I recognized the need for coordinating rheumatologic expertise and services with those of a
diversified orthopaedic group. Ultimately this led me to join the skilled team of surgeons at
Intermountain Orthopaedics, in order to provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach
to musculoskeletal medicine. Areas of special emphasis in my practice include treatment of
rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other diseases of autoimmunity. In
addition, I serve as the Director as the Osteoporosis Center and conduct clinical research
trials involving promising new medications for the treatment of arthritis, osteoporosis, and
related diseases.
My family and I enjoy living in southwest Idaho, and during our free time we look forward to
relaxing at home, outdoor activities, and the performing arts. It is a privilege to work with the
fine physicians and staff of Intermountain Orthopaedics. By integrating the medical, surgical,
and research aspects of musculoskeletal care, we are able to provide service that is
unparalleled in the northwest.
